Starting in 1985, the International Conference on Fluidized Bed Technology (previously known as the International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Beds) has served as a platform for academic and industry experts to present the latest research and advancements in the field of fluidized beds. The thirteenth edition of the conference, CFB-13, was recently held virtually and hosted by the UBC Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC), UBC Fluidization Research Centre (FRC), GLAB Reactor and Fluidization Technologies Inc., and the UBC Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. The conference proceedings are compiled in a volume that is assigned an ISBN.
The International Advisory Board for the International Conference on Fluidized Bed Technology (CFB) comprises a distinguished group of experts from diverse backgrounds, including government, industry, and academia. This esteemed board brings together leading professionals from around the globe, each contributing a wealth of knowledge and experience in fluidized bed technology. Representing countries such as Spain, Italy, China, the United States, Japan, and many others, these members provide invaluable insights and guidance to advance the field. Their collective expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, ensuring that the conference remains at the forefront of innovation, research, and practical application in fluidized bed technology. The board’s international and multidisciplinary nature fosters collaboration, promotes knowledge exchange, and drives the development of sustainable solutions to address global energy and environmental challenges.
CFB-14 is the fourteenth conference in a series following the success of the previous International Conferences on Circulating Fluidized Beds:
GLAB Reactor & Fluidization Technology was founded in 2000 with the objective of offering research, development, and consulting services on multiphase chemical reactors and fluidization-related fields to both industry and governmental research institutions. Based in Vancouver, Canada, the company has established itself as a leading expert in these areas.
